In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone played inmate "Lorna" Morello In the film Orange Is the New Black. Yael is a graduate of NIDA. At a very young age, Yael has been lucky to be able to collaborate with the best storytellers in Australia, brilliant stars of theatre and visionaries who work behind the scenes in films, television and theatre. Yael enjoys a rich career working in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael has made New York City her home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced this critically-acclaimed show. Yael is co-founder of The Cannery. It's located within Bushwick Brooklyn and operates from there to support the creative process, and to create new writing.
